Bhubaneswar: Normal life has remained disrupted in Kendrapada town since this morning due to a bandh being observed in protest against the firing incident in which a youth businessman was seriously injured three days back.
The 12-hour bandh is being observed by the Tinimuhani Bazaar Committee and various organisations. The protesters have demanded stringent action against all the culprits.
Shops and bazaars have been closed and vehicular movement disrupted due to the bandh. Adequate police personnel have been deployed to insure that no untoward incident occurs during the bandh.
It may be noted that two unidentified bike-borne miscreants had opened fire at Tinimuhani Bazaar Committee president Vivekananda Moharana near Gulnagar bridge on July 13 night while he was returning home on a motorcycle. Moharana is still undergoing treatment under critical condition. The accused are yet to be apprehended.
