Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik today formed a three-member committee headed by OPCC working president Chiranjib Biswal to probe into the alleged disturbances by Congress workers at Kakatpur in Puri district during the Bharat bandh.
Patnaik said appropriate action will be taken against the Congress activists if they found guilty.
Notably, Congress activists barged into Kakatpur Tehsil office and manhandled employees. Police rushed to the spot and managed to pacify the agitation.
After the news broke, OPCC chief Patnaik express his deep anguish and formed the committee to probe into the matter.
Congress is observing Bharat Bandh between 6 am to 3 pm today protesting against the rising oil prices. The bandh has severely affected normal life in all parts of Odisha.
