Assembly adjourned till 3 pm over fuel price, teacher issues

Bhubaneswar: The State Assembly was adjourned till 3 pm on fourth day of the current monsoon session on Friday as Congress and BJP Members continued protesting against the Government’s apathetic attitude towards teachers’ demands and ruling members strongly protested steep hike in petrol and diesel prices.

As soon as the House met for the day, Congress and BJP Members raising the teacher issues rushed into the Well of the House and shouted slogans against the State Government and demanded that all demands of teachers be fulfilled soon.

On the other hand, all BJD members stood at their seats and demanded that the Centre reduce fuel prices soon.

As all members continued shouting slogans, Speaker Pradeep Kumar Amat could not run the House and adjourned the proceedings till 3 pm.
