Arjun Munda thanks Odisha govt for providing essential needs to labourers from Jharkhand, Bengal

Bhubaneswar, April 1: Union Minister of Tribal Affairs and senior BJP leader Arjun Munda thanked the Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha govt for providing essential needs to the migrant laborers from Jharkhand and West Bengal in the state during the coronavirus outbreak and resultant lockdown.

Taking to Twitter the Union Minister said: “A heartfelt gratitude to Odisha Government. Migrant labourers of Giridih, Jharkhand & Murshidabad, West Bengal are being provided shelter, food & essential needs by Samakhunta and Saraskana Block in  Mayurbhanj Disttrict.”

He has also mentioned CM Naveen in the tweet post.

On March 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Odisha Chief Minister Patnaik for his efforts to prevent spread of coronavirus.

Patnaik on the same day registered his sister Gita Mehta’s name on Odisha’s Covid-19 website introduced by the State government for foreign returnees.

Taking to Twitter CM Naveen shared: “I have registered my sister’s details in the Government portal for persons coming from abroad. I appeal all of you to also register details about your family members and friends coming from abroad. This will help protect Odisha from CoronaVirus.”
