Appropriation Bill of Rs 11,700 crore passed in Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: Appropriation Bill of Rs 11,700 crore passed in Odisha Assembly amid ruckus by opposition. Finance minister Niranjan Pujari today tabled the Appropriation Bill in the Assembly amid ruckus by BJP MLAs over murder of minor girl in Nayagarh district. The Assembly had earlier unanimously passed the last Appropriation Bill allowing the state government to spend Rs 1.55 lakh crore from its consolidated fund during the financial year 2020-21 on March 30. The Finance minister had presented the annual budget for 2020-21 financial year on February 18. The winter session of the Odisha Assembly was today adjourned sine die a month ahead of the schedule. The session was scheduled to continue till December 31.
