Bhubaneswar, Sep 19: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar Director Dr Gitanjali Batmanabane donated livelihood tool kits to 21 Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), who have been trained by National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled (NCSCDA), Bhubaneswar.
The Director donated 4 multifunctional sewing machines, 8 welding kits, 3 mobile repairing kits, 3 AC repairing kits, 3 electrical kits on the occasion of her granddaughter’s birthday.
Dr. Gitanjali opined that each one of us must teach our next generation to invest quality time and money for supporting venerable people of our society particularly in such a pandemic situation.
Besides, 100 MBBS students along with faculty members have visited the NCSCDA, Bhubaneswar for exposure visit and to know the rehabilitation network and schemes.
While appreciating the initiative, NCSCDA, Bhubaneswar Head Ram Kishor Sharma said that even a smallest support may improve livelihood and quality of life in the present global pandemic condition.
Sudam Swain of Khordha district expressed that I have learned two basic things at NCSCDA during training, i.e, technical skill and soft skill to lead life even in difficult situation. AC repairing kits definitely help me in increasing my income.
