Agni-III to be test-fired today

Bhubaneswar: The high-range ballistic missile, Agni-III, is scheduled to be test-fired from the APJ Abdul Kalar Wheeler Island in Bhadrak district in Odisha, according to reports.

The ballistic missile developed by India as the successor to Agni-II,  has a targeting range of 3,500 km- 5,000 km.

The missile’s Circular error probable (CEP) is within 40 meters range, which makes it the most sophisticated and accurate ballistic missile of its range class in the world. The Agni-III was reportedly inducted into the armed forces in 2011.
