Active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar drop below 2k mark, 88 new infections

Bhubaneswar, Oct 27: As many as 88 fresh cases of Covid-19 have been reported from Bhubaneswar in last 24 hours, officials said today. While 17 persons from quarantine have been tested positive for the deadly virus, 71 locals contact cases have also been reported in last 24 hours. “Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts of infected persons are being while nearby houses of positive cases are also being sanitised,” said an official. As many as 28782 Covid-19 positive cases have been reported so far from the state capital. While 158 persons in Bhubaneswar have died of Covid-19, the number of active cases stands at 1996. Similarly as many as 230 Covid infected persons have recovered in last 24 hours.
