70-year-old woman stabbed during robbery in Bhubaneswar, second such incident on Sunday

Bhubaneswar, July 26: In yet another case of brazen robbery in broad daylight, miscreants today barged into the house of a 70-year-old woman at IRC Village under Nayapalli police limits and stabbed her multiple times before looting gold ornaments. The victim identified as Tulasi Dei is currently undergoing treatment at a city based private hospital. The incident took place around 10 am when the elderly woman was alone in her house. The miscreants barged into her house and stabbed her multiple times before she could raise an alarm. The miscreants later decamped with valuables including gold ornaments. This is the second of such incident of daylight robbery in the state capital on Sunday. Earlier in the day, miscreants have looted gold ornaments from a woman police officer in Unit III area under Kharvel Nagar police limits. The miscreants have also threatened the victim Tanuja Mohanty, a DSP rank office working in Vigilance on gunpoint when she tried to resist them.
