54 affected, dengue fear grips Sundargarh village

Bhubaneswar: Spread of dengue has taken a dangerous proportion in Fatakurabahal village under the Kurtra police limits in Sundargarh district. As many as 54 villagers are now suffering from dengue fever now.

Reports said a specialist doctor’s team from Bhubaneswar has visited the village to look into the situation. Public Health employees have also rushed to the village to ensure that water doesn’t get stagnated anywhere in the village. They are also creating awareness among people how mosquitoes spread the disease.

Blood samples of all 54 villagers tested positive for the virus. People of Fatakurabahal and nearby villages are in a state of fear now as they apprehend that the disease might spread further.
