46 migrant workers rescued in Nuapada

Bhubaneswar: Police rescued as many as 46 migrant labourers from Khariar Road Railway Station in Nuapada district early this morning.

The workers were being illegally trafficked, and they were waiting for a train when the Khariar police reached them and rescued them.

From preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the workers were from Bolangir, Subarnapur and Kalahandi districts.

While no Dalal could be arrested, police have started more investigations to know about the Dalals and the place/s to where the poor workers were being sent.
