37 travelers from coronavirus affected countries under state surveillance system

Bhubaneswar, Feb 7: As many as 37 travelers from coronavirus affected countries have been identified by the state surveillance system, the health and family welfare department said on Friday. One suspected case admitted at SCB Mediacl College and Hospital (SCBMCH) in Cuttack was tested negative for coronavirus by National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. No new case has been admitted to SCBMCH isolation ward today. One symptomatic case has been put under observation at the isolation ward of SCBMCH. A central team comprising of three members visited the Paradeep Port Trust and verified the preparedness for possible coronavirus transmission through sea route, said the department. State control room is functioning 24/7 and queries of people are being addressed to control room No. 0674-2390466.
