Dalals, most of them engaged by doctors, influence patients and their attendants to go for treatment in private clinics and, in cases, they take money from patients in facilitating them to get blood and free medicines.
Police have swung into the action after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik advised the Odisha Police to make Government hospitals Dalal-free soon.
“On availing direction from the Chief Minister, we have started conducting raids at hospitals. The Dalals are not only cheating patients, but also disrupting health services,” said DGP BK Sharma.
