271 persons booked for flouting Covid-19 guidelines during shutdown in Cuttack

Cuttack, July 5: As many as 122 persons have been booked for flouting social distancing guidelines and 149 persons have been booked for not wearing mask under regulations of OUPA Act within last 24 hours in Cuttack city. The Commissionerate Police has erected barricaded across the city and has intensified checking to enforce the shutdown strictly. All non-essential travel is strictly prohibited and all non-essential shops will remain closed during the period. Essential outlets i.e. grocery, vegetable and milk shops will be allowed to open from 5 am to 6 pm with proper maintenance of social distancing and wearing of masks. Essential medicine shops are allowed to open at regular hours, while online delivery of all essential items is also permitted.
