20 fresh tenders will be floated for the auction of mines

Bhubaneswar, 3/12: Fresh tenders will be floated for auction of mines, the tender for which has been cancelled. The notification to this effect has been issued Earlier, the state government had received 177 applications for auction of mines. However, defects were detected during technical bid. The mines owners had applied in the name of parent company and its subsidiaries. According to rules, nobody can apply both in the name of parent company and its subsidiary(ies). That’swhy the state government has cancelled the tenders to ensure transparency, said Director, Mines Deepak Mohanty. Notification for auction of another twenty mines will be issued on December 6. There will be terms and conditions that a company cannot participate in the bid in several different names. The auction process will be over by March 31, said Director of Mines.
