12 of 5 families die as hillock caves in Gajapati

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, as many as 12 persons, including five children, belonging to five families died as part of a hill collapsed over them while they were taking shelter in a cave for protecting themselves from possible fury of Cyclone Titli.

According to reports, members of five families of Baraghara village in Gangabada gram panchayat under Raigarh block in Gajapati district had gone to take shelter in a cave of a nearby hill to protect them from the possible impact of severe cylone Titli. However, the cave collapsed over them after being soaked in rainwater for the two days.

Besides, it is also suspected that four other persons have remained under the debris.
