Bhubaneswar: Normal life in Telkoi town has been hit since this morning as traders have started observing a 12-hour bandh since 6 am to press for fulfillment of three demands.
Shops, bazaars and educational institutions have remained closed. Vehicular movement have also been hit due to the bandh called by the Telkoi Banika Sangha.
The traders have insisted that early measures be taken by the administration for uninterrupted supply of electicity and repair of roads. They too demanded stopping of plying of heavy vehicles in the town.
Adequate number of police personnel have been deployed to ensure that no untoward incident occurs during the bandh.
