Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan conducted groundbreaking for three National Highway Projects at Khandagiri Square here this morning.
The three projects are: Six laning of the Bhadrak-Baleswar stretch of the NH-16, six-laning of the Tangi-Bhubaneswar stretch of the NH-16 and three underpasses at Balikuda, Sikharpur and Badachana on the Bhubaneswar-Chandikhol stretch of the NH 16. The expansion projects include construction of four flyovers, 19 underpasses, five important bridges, 11 small bridges and 83-km service roads.
When the road projects completed, they would ensure inter-State communication among Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Odisha and create massive employment opportunities. Besides, it would lessen travel cost and save valuable time of people, said Pradhan.
