11 villages in Kendrapara sealed for COVID-19

Kendrapara, Apr 7: After the first coronavirus disease (COVID-19) positive case was reported in the Kendrapara district on Monday, the district administration on Tuesday sealed as many as 11 villages in Aul area as a preventive measure to curb spread of the deadly virus.

Public movement in the villages has been strictly restricted and the administration will take disinfection drives in the sealed area during the period. Besides, house to house survey is being carried out for screening of the locals, said Kendrapara Collector Samantha Verma.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 patient, a resident of Aul, has been shifted to the Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack.
