Bhubaneswar, Feb 18: Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari today presented the annual budget for 2020-21 with an outlay of Rs 1.5 lakh crore. The Budgetary proposals announced by the finance minister will be financed mainly through revenue receipts of Rs 1,24,300 crore and borrowing and other receipts of Rs 25,700 crore. The fiscal deficit is estimated to be three percent of GSDP. The state government has estimated to generate Rs 38,350 crore from its own tax revenue sources and Rs 17,650 crore from non-tax revenue sources The state's share in central taxes will be Rs 36,300 crore and grant from the Centre will be Rs 32,300 crore, the finance minister said. The focus areas will be creation of world class infrastructure, transformative health care and educational services, robust ecosystem for sports, tourism, culture, industries and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME).
